The International Security Conference & Expo – ISC EAST 2022

As a starting point to embark on the USA market, CoreWillSoft picked the ISC East event in beautiful New York City.

The company CEO Ivan Kravchenko took part in a SIA professional training for OSDP, including hands-on setup of controllers and readers and upgrading the old Wiegand-based system to an OSDP one. Together with OSDP working group, CoreWillSoft established a fundament for a productive cooperation between the USA and European security organizations.

The trading show thereafter provided a valuable outlook at the US market development.

As for access control, pure online wired systems have a dominate role. Wireless locks are gradually getting traction, especially in the B2C sector.
Though the physical resistance of the components is extremely high, cybersecurity standards need an upgrade. The majority of electronic access control is using proximity cards or serial number (CSN) on the smart cards. Readers are mostly Wiegand-wired. Both the cards and the reader connections can be hacked by publicly available tooling.

Electronic access control software is extensively linked to integrations with intrusion protection, video surveillance, and identity management. Mobile credential is gaining a higher importance in sectors of commercial access, shared economy, multifamily homes, and hospitality.

CoreWillSoft is happy to become a part of the journey to raise physical security software in the USA to a new level!
